Mr. Pierre Langlois, Econoler’s President, has co-authored a book on ESCOs which provides an insightful assessment of today's ESCO industry around the world. In this work, experts from 49 countries tell the story of the energy services industry's development in their respective countries. Chapters cover selected countries from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, North America, South America, New Zealand and Australia, as well as the overall global picture.
This book provides an insightful assessment of today's ESCO (energy services companies) industry around the world, analyzing current trends – both by geographical regions and in specific countries. Both opportunities and barriers/problems are presented and explained by in country professionals who have broad knowledge of their specific ESCO industry. The book includes significant contributions by Pierre Langlois and Paolo Bertoldi. The author, Shirley J. Hansen, and contributors have reached into the far corners of the world to get trusted colleagues to tell the story of the energy services industry's development in their respective countries, and in their own words. Chapters cover selected countries from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, North America, South America, New Zealand and Australia, as well as the overall global picture.

In a new publication, Econoler, the Institut de l’énergie et de l’environnement de la Francophonie (IEPF) and the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec (AEE), explain the contribution that a private-public partnership can bring to removing barriers to energy efficiency projects financing.
This book, written under the supervision of the IEPF and published in French, explores how barriers to energy efficiency financing in developing countries could be removed through private-public partnerships. The document also draws from actual cases of public-private partnerships in the energy efficiency sector in Northern and Southern countries.

REEEP has published a study conducted by Econoler and Le Groupe Baastel in which the overproportionately high results of REEEP activities for the level of funds disbursed are confirmed.
According to a study conducted by Econoler and Le Groupe-conseil Baastel, 90% of REEEP (the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership) projects in 2005-2007 were “highly successful”, successful” or “moderately successful” in achieving their stated goals. For this study, Econoler and Baastel analysed the outputs and outcomes of 47 renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the emerging markets and the developing world.

Econoler, through its president Mr. Pierre Langlois, supported EVO in the development and publishing of the new International Energy Efficiency Financing Protocol (IEEFP), which provides guidelines for Local Financing Institutions (LFIs) around the world to evaluate and finance energy efficiency and savings-based renewable projects (Energy Savings Projects or ESPs).
